Can you remember what my initial thoughts were?
I know that you have to play what you are up against, but honestly? Could the Germans have had an easier group? Australia, Serbia and Ghana join them. The game v Serbia could be interesting, mind...
I think that but for the sending off of Miroslav Klose, Germany would have quite easily beaten Serbia. They demolished Australia (they were two up when Cahill received his marching orders) and always in control versus Ghana. Australia set quite a target for New Zealand to try and beat by scoring 4 points and Serbia will always remember the team that beat Germany in WC2010. Ghana have a great chance to progress against the USA in the Round of 16.
