Liverpool in the FA Cup
Liverpool has a total of 7 FA Cup wins, the latest one coming in the mother of all FA Cup finals at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff against West Ham United. After going 2 down in the first half hour, Djibril Cisse pulled on back for Liverpool to leave the half time score 1-2. After 54 minutes Steven Gerrard brought the scores level, only for Paul Konchesky to put the Hammers ahead again ten minutes later. Cardiff was ringing to the sound of 'I'm forever blowing bubbles' for the next 25 minutes until Gerrard tapped in to see the game finish on 3-3. Extra time was played and couldn't separate the teams, so penalties were taken to decide the match. Liverpool were successful with 3 of their penalties with just the one for West Ham.
Previous FA Cup wins for Liverpool came against, Leeds United (1965), Newcastle United (1974), Everton (1986 and 1989), Sunderland (1992) and Arsenal in 2001.
