Walcott omitted from World Cup squad
23 is a finite number, so it stands to reason that you can't take everyone to the World Cup. Whether Master Walcott should have a place in the squad is a moot point as is whether or not Gareth Barry should (injured or not). All in all however, I think that Capello has got it pretty much right. It all boils down to whether or not this England squad is better able to keep hold of the ball during a game than ones that have gone before. Huff and Puff football is all well and good, but at the end of the day you need to have the ball to score and without it you run the risk of running yourself into the ground. Ten days to go and counting...
