All the cliches could and should come out after this dog's breakfast of a match. It was truly diabolical. Algeria are excused from any criticism.
For all of those newspaper editors, sub-editor, headline writers, journalists etc who came out with all of the usual 'England Expects' bollox last week before the tournament started should hang their heads in shame. If they were bothered, something which I very much doubt, as to why the Scots, the Irish and the Welsh get so pissed off abut their coverage you could see why from that game. I mean, it's not as if England even has a team which could possibly play up to that hype, yet we have it EVERYTIME we're in the World Cup. 1966 is getting even further away in the memory and it's not going to be repeated anytime soon.
Of course, that said, if we beat Slovenia, we're in to the next round so what do I know? Roll on, roll on.
