Germany 4-0 Australia
Sorry folks, but I have to confess that I didn't watch this demolition of Australia by a young German side. I have seen the highlights though, and it looks like they could have had a few more than the four that they did score. It was good to see Miroslav Klose's name on the score sheet after a fallow period - I always liked him as a striker. And as for Tim Cahill's vacant expression of innocence? Well sorry, but he seems to able to utilise it to great effect in the Premier League time and time again, so it was nice to see him getting his marching orders from referee Rodriguez. For the record, Germany's scorers were Podolski, Klose, Muller and Cacau. At last a European team in white shirts showing those ex-colonials a thing or two about the Beautiful Game. Question, do the German papers go on quite as much as the English ones do about what their team's gonna do in the world cup 'this time'? I'll leave that for you to ponder.
