Maradona attacks Pele and Platini
God he's as mad a gross of boxes of frogs isn't he eh, our Maradona? I mean, why can't he just let his coaching ability and the performances of his team on the pitch do the talking? Whatever you might think about Monsieur Platini, he's the right to his opinion and as for Pele, well to my knowledge he never once cheated on the football pitch. If they are trying to wind the wee man up then they're doing a great job. There's a similar reaction in the England camp about Herr Beckenbauer's comments, but at least they've either ignored it or made some dignified, non-committal noises about it.
